Psychology 330: Applied Behavior Analysis

INSTRUCTOR - DR. GARY BROWN

TEXT - Behavior Analysis for Lasting Change by Sulzer-Azaroff & Mayer

ATTENDANCE POLICY - Three unexcused absences result in the loss of a letter grade.  Excused absences require written documentation.  You are still responsible for material missed.  If you have more than five unexcused absences you will be dropped from the course.

GRADING - There will be a midterm and a comprehensive final.   You must get 50% of the total possible points to pass,  65% equals a "C",  75% a "B", and 85% an "A".   All test questions are covered in lectures.

Practicum - This course has a practicum which counts as 25% of your final grade.  The practicum does not meet on a schedule, but you are required to submit a proposal and final report in the practicum.  The final report requires use of a graphics program.  You must also have approval of the case for your practicum.  There are also other practicum assignments.

Plagiarism will result in an automatic "F" in the course.

Students with disabilities who request accommodations are to provide a certification letter within the first two weeks of class.

In this course we are going to learn to modify behavior.  Obviously, this is material you can use throughout life. Please read the assignments before you come to class.  Good luck.  I hope you enjoy the course.
