Background and Interests:
I received my B.S. in Natural Resources Management with
a concentration in Wildlife Biology from the University of Tennessee at Martin,
my M.S. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Applied Ecology from
Eastern Kentucky University, and my Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from
Mississippi State University.
My main area of research deals with the behavior
and ecology of North American woodpeckers, especially Red-bellied Woodpeckers
and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers.
