The department chair or dean will provide a thorough orientation for all first-time faculty members. Orientation will take place prior to each semester as needed. The orientation will cover all basic university policies and procedures, suggested UT Martin syllabus, departmental regulations, and guidance concerning preparations/requirements for the course(s) each individual will teach. A copy of these policies and procedures will be given to the employed faculty member. Extended campus faculty will also meet with the Office of ECCE Area Coordinator to receive an information packet and additional guidance to supplement the academic department’s orientation.
