The teaching load for a regular adjunct faculty member will be stated in the appointment letter from the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The teaching load for term adjunct faculty should not exceed six credit hours or .5 FTE (whichever is greater). If the individual is employed full-time in another position, the teaching load should normally be limited to four credit hours per semester. The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs must approve any exception to the teaching load policy.
