SUBJECT: Annual Report Format

AUTHORITY: VCAA

EFFECTIVE: 8/1/01

REVISION:

Purpose : To establish a uniform presentation format for department and college annual reports in order to facilitate the gathering and dissemination of campus information and provide a yearly record for documenting the accomplishment of initiatives and objectives within major university goals.

Annual Report Organization and Timeline:

1. Annual reports for the respective academic units are to be submitted by the chairs to the deans and should be organized so that achievements are cited under one of the primary goals as stated in the University's Five-Year Plan. Accomplishments which cannot be linked to a goal should be listed under the heading "Other Items of Note." Place an asterisk beside items which are especially noteworthy for inclusion in the university-wide annual report published by the Office of University Relations.

2. Faculty and student awards and achievements (books, articles, presentations, etc.) should be listed under campus goal No. 1: "Strengthening Academic Quality and Accreditation Status." List only published/presented works, not works in progress or presentations which are to be presented at a future date.

3. College annual reports covering the most recent academic year should be completed by June 30. Units which report fiscal year statistics should submit their annual reports by July 15.
