SUBJECT: Terminal Degree Completion AUTHORITY: VCAA EFFECTIVE: 8/1/02 REVISION: Purpose : To treat UT Martin faculty who complete their terminal degrees comparable to equally qualified newly appointed faculty as it relates to salary and faculty rank. Effective with Fall, 2002 faculty appointments, all regular, full-time tenure-track faculty who complete terminal degrees while employed at The University of Tennessee at Martin will have his/her salary and rank adjusted consistent with the guidelines and procedures used by the University to employ equally qualified faculty who are external to the University. These employment adjustments will be made the semester immediately following the completion of terminal degree requirements. This policy replaces the current policy that recognizes UT Martin faculty who complete the terminal degree with a $1,200 salary increase. |
