Communication Requirement
1. English 111-112 (or equivalent honors courses)
2. Communications 230
Foreign Language Requirement
- Students entering with two years or more of study in a foreign language in high school can fulfill the requirement by completing 222 in the same language (i.e., the language used to satisfy the entrance requirement). French and Spanish students who begin with 115 may fulfill the requirement by completing 122; OR Students entering with a foreign language deficiency can fulfill the requirement by completing 222 in the language used to remove the deficiency; OR Students who switch from the language used to satisfy an entrance requirement or to remove a deficiency to another language can fulfill the requirement by completing 122 in that second language. Humanities Requirement
1. Completion of one sequence from each of two disciplines.
  - English 250-251, or 260-261, or 270-271
  - History 121-122 or 201-202 (or equivalent honors courses)
  - Philosophy 110-120
2. Completion of one course selected from
  - Art 110
  - Music 111-112
Laboratory Science Requirement
- Completion of two of the following sequences outside the major:
  - Astronomy 201-202
  - Biology 110-120
  - Chemistry 121-122
  - Geology 111, 113
  - Physics 211-212 and Physics 201-202, or Physics 220-221
Social Science Requirement
- Completion of two of the following sequences outside the major:
  - Anthropology 101-201
  - Economics 201-202
  - Geography 151-152 or 201-202
  - Political Science (American Government) 210-220
  - Psychology 110-120 (or equivalent honors courses)
  - Sociology 201 and 202 or 208
Mathematics Requirement
- Completion of Mathematics 185-Precalculus or any two of the following courses:
  - Mathematics 140
  - Mathematics 160 or 251
  - Mathematics 210
  - Mathematics 241
  - Mathematics 252
Computer Science 201
