Student Health Services
Student Health Services is conveniently located near UT Martins residence halls and has a staff of nurses and a part-time clinician/physician. These staff members are available at regularly designated hours.
Students are required to have a current health history form on file in the Student Health Office. The office is designed to help students with problems that would be taken to their own physician. Methodist Healthcare Volunteer Hospital is located just minutes from the university and is available for medical and surgical services and emergencies, but the student must pay his/her own hospital expenses.
Therefore, students are urged to carry health insurance to cover illnesses and accidents that may occur while they are enrolled at UT Martin. Information about special coverage available to students at low costs can be obtained at the Student Health Center.
Note: All students are required to be in compliance with Tennessee Department of Health requirements regarding two MMR vaccines.
