310 Arts Aesthetics and Criticism (3) A seminar in which major writers on the subjects of aesthetics and arts criticism are read and discussed. Application of these theories through critiques of major works in the arts. Students are required to write reports and give oral presentations.
350 Fine Arts in Early Childhood (3) Methods and activities in music, art, drama, and movement (dance) for children from birth to eight years.
351 Fine Arts For Elementary Teachers (3) Exploration of basic skills, procedures, and activities relating to the arts in the elementary classroom. Primary emphasis on art and music. One lecture and two labs. Prereq: Art 110 and Music 110 or 111.
410 Computers and the Arts (3) Operating features, terminology, procedures, general applications, and specialized software related to the use of computers in the visual and performing arts. Projects employing the computer in design and control functions as well as music instrument digital interface (MIDI) applications. Students are required to write reports and give oral presentations. For Fine and Performing Arts majors: other students by permission of instructor.
