INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS

The University of Tennessee at Martin intercollegiate athletics program consists of seven men's sports: football, basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, rifle, and cross-country. The seven women's sports are: basketball, volleyball, softball, tennis, cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track. The University has excellent athletic facilities which include: an 8,000 seat football stadium, a 6,500 seat basketball arena, a 3,000 seat fieldhouse, a 500 seat baseball stadium, a 400 meter track, and a 15 court tennis complex.

The UT Martin Skyhawks participate in Division I of the NCAA and are a member of the Ohio Valley Conference. All sports have access and opportunities for NCAA regional and national championships.

CAMPUS RECREATION

The Campus Recreation program is designed to provide opportunities for participation in a wide variety of recreational sports and special event activities. Active participation by students, faculty, staff, and community is the general aim of the program with emphasis given to such basic needs as relaxing, belonging, and achieving as they relate to good health and fitness. The basic program consists of intramurals, organized and competitive sports, leisure recreation, informal self-directed play, special events, contemporary entertainment, and activities. Facilities include the swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and weight room. For additional information, contact the Campus Recreation office.
