345 Wind and Earthquake-Resistant Structures (4) Analysis of statically determinate structural systems for stress and deformation. Methods of the elastic curve. Energy methods. Gravity loads, wind loads and earthquake loads on structures. Determination of loads and deformations in individual members of trussed systems, diaphragm-and-shearwall systems and braced post-and-beam systems. Influence lines. Wind and earthquake-resistant structures. Applications in falsework and formwork. Four one-hour Iectures. Prereq: EM 321.
