The Financial Aid and Scholarships Office awards all financial aid in Banner and authorizes payment through a series of checks and balances. After a fee assessment is run for the upcoming semester (as determined by the Bursar’s Office) and all requirements are met, funds are authorized to cross to the students’ account in the Business Office.
Loans are disbursed in two disbursements. Loans certified for fall and spring semesters combined, will disburse half at the beginning of fall and the other half at the beginning of spring, contingent on eligibility and enrollment. Loans certified for fall, spring or summer only are disbursed half in the beginning of the semester and the other half mid-semester.
First-time borrowers’ first loan disbursement will disburse 30 days after the start of classes.
All other aid is disbursed to the students’ accounts at the beginning of each semester.
