If inclement weather occurs, students should first check area radio and television stations for class cancellations or schedule changes. Additionally, appropriate schedule information will be posted on the university's home page under the news links. UT Martin offices will be considered open unless the announcement specifically says all offices will be closed.
- Calls to broadcast stations will be made first and will be completed by 6 a.m. Related announcements will follow on the university's home page.
- In most cases, extended-campus sites (Jackson, McNairy County, Ripley, etc.) normally follow the lead of local school systems in canceling or delaying classes. Area radio and television stations should be checked for additional information.
- Radio stations that receive calls include but are not limited to: Thunderbolt Broadcasting, WCMT-AM/FM (Martin) WCDZ-FM (Dresden); WWKF-FM/WENK-AM (Union City), Twin States Broadcasting (Union City); SL-100 (Dyersburg).
- TV stations that receive calls include but are not limited to: WBBJ-TV, Jackson; WPSD-TV, Paducah.
