Mission Statement
The College of Business and
Public Affairs, consistent with the overall
Mission of The University of Tennessee at
Martin, develops graduates whose skills,
abilities and ethical standards contribute
to a diversified and dynamic society.
With a primary focus on teaching, the College
emphasizes quality undergraduate and graduate
instruction and faculty commitment to student
and regional development. Programs
are delivered in an environment that encourages
a broad understanding of the forces shaping
global social, political and economic change.
The College promotes and supports cooperative
alliances with stakeholders and outstanding
teaching, research, and service.
The College of Business and
Public Affairs is one of five colleges on
the campus of The University of Tennessee
at Martin. The programs in business are
accredited by The Association to Advance
Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International)
and houses three academic departments:

The following degrees and major fields
of study are offered:
In addition, the
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
degree is offered. The MBA and degree is
also offered on the campus of The Tennessee Technology
Center in Jackson, Tennessee.
Two endowed chairs, the Horace
and Sara Dunagan Chair of Excellence in Banking
and the Tom
E. Hendrix Chair of Excellence in Free Enterprise,
function within the College of Business and Public
Affairs.
The Regional Entrepreneurship and
Economic Development (REED)
Center serves existing and prospective entrepreneurs
and supports economic development in rural northwest
Tennessee.
