M firmly places UT Martin on the leadership map and sets a new standard for student involvement and development. M encourages leadership both within our student culture as well as the larger extra-collegiate environment. Students will enhance their academic field of study through collaboration and discussion in a structured and academically grounded environment. There will be focus on what direction they are headed, who is currently leading that market, what dynamics will possibly contribute to the future of that market and ultimately how they can actively engage themselves ethically and successfully. Students are also given the opportunity to attend peer and faculty led workshops that cover topics and skills the students need to be competitive and competent. These workshops are two to three hour sessions, intended to condense and complement information for active student leaders. M allows students to mpower themselves further by interacting and working with a variety of local, state, regional, national and international leaders. To be enrolled, students must be actively pursuing UT Martin’s leadership minor. The minor is available to any undergraduate, within any discipline. Students must additionally sign an intent form as well as undergo a brief advisement. Intent forms are located in UT Martin’s Student Life Center.
