Brief History: The West Tennessee Agriculture Pavilion, an 82,000 square foot multi-purpose facility, was completed in May of 1984 on the site of Lovelace house and a post-war faculty/married student housing complex irreverently termed "Incubator Hill."  Its main feature is a 24,000 square foot indoor rodeo arena.  The building seats 3,000 people and incorporates an 32-stall animal holding area, tack room, and grooming areas. A 150-stall barn was built adjacent to the pavilion in 1989. The building was officially named the McWherter Agriculture Complex in 1995, honoring Weakley County native Governor Ned Ray McWherter.
