| Name(s) of Building: | Engineering-Physical Science Building |
| Dates of Construction: | 1960-1961; 1969-1972 |
| Cost: | $673,000 |
| Brief History: | The rapid expansion of Engineering Department in the post-war years made it necessary for the University to construct a larger, more modern facility than the old Mechanical Arts buildling. In 1960, construction began on the Engineering-Physical Science building; the project was completed the following year. An addition was added to the back of the building, begun in 1969, which almost doubled office and classroom space. As its name implies, the building serves as the offices and classrooms for the Engineering and Physical Sciences departments. |
