The University Archives consists mainly of twentieth century
university documents and artifacts produced by either the University of
Tennessee at Martin or its predecessors, the Hall-Moody Institute, Hall-Moody Normal School, and
Hall-Moody Junior College. The collection contains documents published by the university or materials
produced by university administrators, faculty, staff, students or alumni. The collection includes
theses, administrative reports, department and committee records, student publications, photographs,
printed records, and the correspondence of former Chancellors, Deans, etc.
