GENEALOGY

The Genealogy Collection consists of published, printed or microform materials which primarily focus upon American, European, and African genealogies as they relate to northwest Tennessee. Microfilm census material from the federal, state and county government agencies are also available in the collection.

All published and printed materials stored in the Genealogy Collection are searchable upon the Online Public Access Catalog OPAC at Paul Meek Library.

Due to the fragile condition of the original records and to preserve material responsibly, requests to photocopy entire files from the Weakley County chancery court records will no longer be filled. The records remain available for inspection in the Special Collections reading room during departmental hours. Requests for specific data from the files will be honored as staff are able to search and respond.
