Removing
Library Proxy Settings
If you have never used the Library proxy service before June 1, 2004, you
do not need to follow these instructions. Please review the EZproxy instructions
or continue directly to our Databases Main Menu.
Use of EZproxy, the new Library
proxy service, requires the removal of any Library proxy settings previously
set in your web browser. To remove the settings, select your browser name
and version from the list below and follow the instructions.

Select Edit
Select
Preferences
Click on the '+' to the left of the Advanced option
Click on Proxies
Click on the Automatic proxy configuration button
Select and Delete from the Configuration Location (URL): library.utm.edu
Select Direct connection to the internet button
Click Reload (in the dialog box) and OK

Select the Proxies tab
Click on the Automatic proxy configuration button
Select and Delete from the Configuration Location (URL):library.utm.edu
Click Reload (in the dialog box) and OK
Select Direct connection to the Internet button

Click on the Connections tab
Select LAN settings for cable modems or Settings for dial-up modems
Under Use Automatic Configuration Script, delete the address: http://library.utm.edu
Deselect (uncheck) Use Automatic Configuration Script
Click OK and then OK again

Click on Refresh
Click on OK then OK again on the Internet Options menu

At the bottom of the Advanced page, turn off the Automatic Configuration
button
Click on Refresh then click on OK in the popup box
Click on Apply then OK on the Options menu
