| Brief History: | The West Tennessee
Agriculture Pavilion was completed in May of 1984. The
building is a multi-purpose facility consisting of 82,000 square feet. It contains a 24,000 square
foot arena and seats 3,000 people. The pavilion also includes an animal holding area with 32
stalls, a tack room, and animal and grooming areas. A 150 stall barn was built adjacent to the
pavilion in 1989. The building officially named the McWherter Agriculture Complex in 1995 in
honor of Governor Ned Ray McWherter.
