| Brief History: | Ellington Hall was third
dormitory to follow the same structure design of both
McCord and Peay and began construction in spring of 1966. By the fall of 1967, the building was
completed and was ready to house 528 students. It was first titled the E-F dormitory but was
officially named Ellington Hall on April 17, 1969 in honor of Governor Buford Ellington. It still
exists as a residence hall for students.
