| Brief History: | The Fine Arts Building was
officially opened and dedicated on May 28, 1971. The
new building consisted of 54,702 square feet and contained 22 practice rooms, 11 classrooms, a
choral rehearsal hall, art laboratories, study and reading rooms and a workshop. The building
also has a 500 seat auditorium and 2,800 square foot stage. At present, the building houses the
Division of Fine and Performing Arts which includes the music, drama and art departments.
Most regional concert and stage productions are performed in the auditorium of the Fine Arts
Building.
