| Brief History: | By the 1950's, the
administrative division of the University had long outgrown its
office space in the Old Administration Building which was constructed at the turn of the
century. The new Administration Building was completed in 1959 and continues to serve as the
administrative hub of the University. On February 2, 1968, the building was named the
Hall-Moody Administration Building in recognition of the institutions predecessor, the
Hall-Moody
Institute, which was originally founded in 1900. The Hall-Moody Institute was named in honor
of two eminent Baptist ministers of the era - J. N. Hall and J. B. Moody. In 1974, the building
was modernized and remodeled
