MLA Bibliography. Modern Language Association of America. 1921 to date.
Since 1956 it is entitled the MLA International Bibliography of books and articles on the modern languages and literature. |
|
The MLA Bibliography provides a classified listing of books and periodical articles published on modern languages, literature, folklore and linguistics. Volume I and II are arranged mainly by national literatures (English, AMerican, French, etc.) and are further divided by chronology (Medieval, Sixteenth Century, Seventeenth Century, etc.).
Within most categories the arrangement is alphabetical by the last name of the literary figure. Vol. III, Linguistics, is arranged by broad categories (General Linguistics etc.) and then by specific language interests. Early volumes have different arrangements. Ask a Reference Librarian to assist you if necesary. |
