- The cost for Tennessee students attending the University of Tennessee at Martin will increase $84 per semester, beginning this fall. The UT Board of Trustees approved a 4.6 percent tuition increase for UT Martin during the board's annual meeting in Knoxville. The 4.6 percent increase is half the amount of the increase approved last year. Read more...

Norton, died June 23 at
Regional Medical Center
in Memphis. She was hospitalized
June 21 after a
fall. Services were June 26
in Kenton. Karnes-
Thompson Funeral Home
of Kenton was in charge of
arrangements.
Survivors include her
husband of 48 years,
Robert Marion Norton; a
daughter, Robbie Norton
Eddings, Kenton; a son,
Ron Norton, Germantown;
and three grandchildren.
Contributions to the Norton Communications Fund can be sent to 328 Adminstration Building, Martin, TN 38238.
