The $1 billion dollar Campaign for Tennessee was publically launched in May, 2008 with a UT Martin goal of $40 million dollars. Thanks to extraordinary leadership gifts, UTM has already raised 84 percent of that goal, the largest goal attainment percentage of any UT campus or unit. Also, UT Martin achieved 54 percent participation in its Family Campaign, the largest percentage of any UT campus. These gifts from generous benefactors and current, former and retired UT Martin employees send a strong message that those who know the university best, support it the most!
As we move into the public phase of the most ambitious fund-raising effort in UT history, the support of all UTM alumni and friends is critically important - with many more gifts of all sizes needed to reach the goal and ensure success. Giving back to the university that prepares one for a successful career and investing in the next generation of leadership are two of the primary reasons people support higher education. During the next three years of this capital campaign the university will be engaging and involving as many people as possible in this unprecedented fund-raising effort.
