The Division of Intercollegiate Athletics strives to enhance the total collegiate experience for UT Martin students and to generate interest in UT Martin from various stakeholders.  This is accomplished through competitive teams, academically successful student-athletes, and public service initiatives by coaches, staff, and students.  Even in an atmosphere of intensity and competition, the physical, emotional, and social well-being of student-athletes is stressed.  In an effort to enhance the image of intercollegiate athletic competition and its participants, the coaches and staff within the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics are challenged to prepare student-athletes for competition in a manner that stresses sportsmanship, citizenship, and academic excellence.
