Learning experiences including lecture and campus laboratory are held on campus. Clinical experiences include regional hospitals and other agencies. A combination of these experiences provide optimal learning for nursing students. Practical laboratory experiences are held in the departmental labs with patient care and skill stations containing health-care simulators, equipment, and supplies for student instruction and practice. Numerous videotapes, DVD's, and interactive CD's are available for student viewing. Off-campus clinical laboratory experiences are taught by UT Martin nursing faculty in area health-care agencies within a 150 mile radius of UTM. Transportation to various agencies for clinical experiences must be provided by the student.
