UTM Fit Health Club is a spring semester incentive program that educates and encourages members on the importance of being active and leading a healthy lifestyle. Members are rewarded with their participation by receiving t-shirts, gym bags and Intramural Gold Level points.
Every Health Club member receives two fitness assessments during the semester. The assessment includes body fat percentage, muscular strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness and flexibility.
Wellness Forums are presented by UTM Student Health and Counseling Services, Faculty, Campus Recreation Staff and our local sponsors. They provide helpful information on nutrition, eating disorders, body image, stress, spring break wellness, benefits of exercise, and how to use the equipment in the fitness center.
Health Club members commit to attending Group Fitness classes and engaging in additional personal workouts such as: utilizing the cardio equipment in the SRC Fitness Center, DVD workouts, participating in Campus Recreation Intramural Sports, weight training and more.
