Intramural Official’s 2015 Spring Recruitment Dates

 

Volleyball Officials Recruitment Meeting - Monday, January 12, 2015 @ 4:30p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss basic game management, payroll, work expectations, schedules, policies/procedures, etc.

 

Volleyball Officials Skills Enhancement Session - Wednesday, January 14, 2015 @ 6:00p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss in depth game management, court positioning, officiating techniques/skills, scorekeeper expectations, nightly game expectations and your role as a head/floor official.

 

Basketball Officials & Scorekeeper Recruitment Meeting – Monday, February 9 @ 4:30p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss basic game management, payroll, work expectations, schedules, policies/procedures, etc.

 

Basketball Official’s & Scorekeepers’ Skills Enhancement Session – Wednesday, February 11, 2015 @ 6:00p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss in depth game management, nightly game expectations, basketball officiating skills/techniques, court positioning and your role as a Head/Trail official.

 

Basketball Officials Court Training Session – Thursday, February 12 @ 5:00p (SRC North Basketball Courts)

  • During this meeting you will experience officiating at game speed. You will continue to learn the two officiating positions for basketball and the skills needed to be a successful official. Your knowledge and skills will be tested in 1-2 jamboree games on this night.

 

7v7 Soccer Officials Recruitment Meeting – Thursday, March 26, 2015 @ 4:30p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss basic game management, payroll, work expectations, schedules, policies/procedures, etc.

 

7v7 Soccer Officials Skills Enhancement Session – Monday, March 30, 2015 @ 6:00p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss in depth game management, nightly game expectations, Soccer officiating skills/techniques, field positioning and your role as an official.

Interested in becoming an Intramural Official or Scorekeeper but not sure how to join the Campus Rec team? Here is what you need to know:

  • No previous experience is required.
  • Most of our training sessions last 2-3 nights from the hours of 5:00p-7:00p.
  • All aspiring officials are required to attend all nights of training for that particular sport - advanced notice is required for anyone who misses a training session.
  • A shirt will be provided for you, however you will need your own athletic shorts/pants and a preapproved whistle (if necessary).
  • Work as many sports as you like.
