Intramural Official’s 2014 Fall Recruitment Dates

 

Softball Umpire & Scorekeeper Recruitment Meeting - Thursday, August 28 @ 4:30p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss basic game management, payroll, work expectations, schedules, policies/procedures, etc.

 

Softball Umpire & Scorekeeper Skills Enhancement Session - Tuesday, September 2 @ 6:00p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss in depth game management, field positioning, umpire techniques/skills, scorekeeper expectations, nightly game expectations and your role as an umpire.

 

Flag Football Officials Recruitment Meeting – Monday, September 29 @ 4:30p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss basic game management, payroll, work expectations, schedules, policies/procedures, etc.

 

Flag Football Official’s Skills Enhancement Session – Wednesday, October 1 @ 6:00p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss in depth game management, nightly game expectations, flag football officiating skills/techniques, field positioning and your role as an official

 

Flag Football Officials Field Training Session – Thursday, October 2 @ 5:00p (Intramural Fields)

  • During this meeting you will experience officiating at game speed. You will continue to learn the three officiating positions for flag football and the skills needed to be a successful official. Your knowledge and skills will be tested in 1-2 jamboree games on this night.

 

3v3 Basketball Officials Recruitment Meeting – Thursday, November 20 @ 4:30p (SRC Classroom)

  • During this meeting we will discuss in depth game management, basketball officiating techniques/skills, game rules, payroll, work expectations, schedules, policies/procedures, etc.

Interested in becoming an Intramural Official or Scorekeeper but not sure how to join the Campus Rec team? Here is what you need to know:

  • No previous experience is required.
  • Most of our training sessions last 2-3 nights from the hours of 5:00p-7:00p.
  • All aspiring officials are required to attend all nights of training for that particular sport - advanced notice is required for anyone who misses a training session.
  • A shirt will be provided for you, however you will need your own athletic shorts/pants and a preapproved whistle (if necessary).
  • Work as many sports as you like.
