Scope:  The Recreational Supervisor oversees evening and weekend operations of the Student Recreation Center, Elam Center, Fieldhouse, and recreational fields. Duties include: opening and closing the facility, ensuring proper usage of the facility, reporting problems, providing customer service, handling emergencies, and patron concerns. Other responsibilities include supervising intramural sports, Rec. Check, special events, aquatics and fitness, enforcing policies and procedures, and assisting in the promotion of the various sport and recreational programs. Candidates may apply for the position in their freshmen year, classified as a sophomore upon their first day of work, have a minimum of a 2.25 cumulative G.P.A., demonstrate an appreciation and knowledge of various sport and recreation activities, and have commendable communication and human relation skills. All Recreational Supervisors are expected to represent the Office of Campus Recreation in a professional, mature, and positive manner. Preferred qualifications include CPR and First Aid certifications, lifeguard certification, and officiating certification in soccer, basketball, softball, and volleyball.
