The Office of Campus Recreation hires lifeguards year-round. The application process requires two steps. The first step for interested lifeguards is to fill out an employment application form, which can be found at the Office of Campus Recreation (1020 Elam Center). The second step is to contact Shelley Stout (Aquatics Coordinator) at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (731) 881-7718 and set up a skills test/interview for the position. During the skills test you are asked to swim 300-yards and perform a few basic rescues such as active and passive victim rescue, removal from water, and back board skills.
