The University of Tennessee at Martin in cooperation with the University of Tennessee Health Sciences began offering the Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) in Memphis, Tennessee in the Fall Semester 2004.

  • Classes are taught by UT Martin faculty using an interactive classroom.
  • UT Martin School of Business Administration is accredited by (AACSB) International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
  • Curriculum Requirements: 35 hours (10 courses).
  • Prerequisites: a college level introducotory accounting course (may be taken at an area college during the first two semesters in the MBA program and a college level statistics course (may be taken at an area college during the first semester of the program).
  • Courses are offered at the The University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
  • A minimum of two courses are offered fall, spring, and summer semesters.

 

The UT Martin College of Business and Public Affairs offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA). It is open to students holding a baccalaureate degree from a four-year college or university, regardless of the undergraduate field of study, and will provide the theoretical and conceptual foundations for those who may later pursue a doctoral degree.

The MBA is designed to prepare individuals for responsible managerial positions by providing background in the major functional areas of business operations.  Curriculum emphasis is placed on the development of managerial generalists. The MBA is a widely-recognized, professional degree targeted toward those who occupy or aspire to mid-level/senior-level positions.

 

The length of time required to complete course requirements varies according to the student's undergraduate preparation for graduate-level study.

 

Students are required to maintain a "B" average and in their last semester of study to take Management 790, Strategic Management/Business Policy, earning at least a "B."  Students not completing Management 790 with at least a "B" will be required to successfully complete a comprehensive examination administered during the following semester
