Admission to Teacher Education

A. Admission to Teacher Education will be granted if students:

1. Take and pass the state -approved Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST), or have an ACT composite score of 22 or better; NOTE: A student who has taken and failed the PPST twice can make an appeal to be admitted to the Teacher Education Program (TEP).
2. Have and maintain a cumulative 2.75 GPA effective Fall 2008
3. Demonstrate an acceptable level of oral skills and a successful interview before the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Interview Board


B. Admission To Teacher Education Interviews - Dates:

Fall 2008

Monday – Friday, October 6-10, 2008

 

Spring 2009

Monday – Friday, March 2-6, 2009

 

*NOTE: Prior to these dates, you must sign up in 205 Gooch for one session. Interviews will be held in 216 Gooch Hall.
