The Athletic Training Education Program, that leads to certification as an Athletic Trainer
is being phased out by January 2012. Incoming Freshman can no longer pursue athletic training certification
at this University of Tennessee campus. Please be advised that the remaining courses will be sequenced
to accomodate the students who are currently enrolled in the program to ensure their successful graduation.
This program's administration cannot guarantee successful completion of the program (because of course sequencing) to students attempting to finish by December 2011 who are not currently enrolled in the program. Regular athletic training courses will no longer be offered after the Spring 2011 semester. The Fall 2011 semester will be utilized to complete necessary coursework outside of the athletic training courses.
