Food for Scientific Thought
Regardless of whether you are working with science curricula or waterfowl, the discussions and resulting observations always go better when there is something serving as the catalyst to enhance the thinking process. Many of my colleagues and former students will recall activities at my home that involved waterfowl visits followed by chili or perhaps chili followed by discussing curricular topics.
