Diploblasty versus Triploblasty

Animals can be either diploblastic or triploblastic . An animal is diploblastic if its body develops from only two fundamental tissue layers; it is triploblastic if its body develops from three fundamental tissue layer s. Diploblasty apparently evolved earlier than did triploblasty.
