Position 1:

The University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Chemistry seeks applicants for a one-year term position beginning August 1, 2009. 

Teaching responsibility will be primarily in General Chemistry lecture and laboratory but there may be an opportunity to teach upper division courses in area of candidate’s specialization.  An opportunity may also be available for research with undergraduates if applicant desires.

 

Masters degree in chemistry or equivalent course work is required; Ph.D. in chemistry preferred.  Applicants must have good English communication skills and be committed to quality undergraduate education.

Review of applications will begin July 22, 2009 and continue until the position is filled.

 

The University of Tennessee at Martin is a primary campus in the University of Tennessee System.  The campus is located in Northwest Tennessee approximately 125 miles north of Memphis and 150 miles west of Nashville.  The University of Tennessee at Martin has a combined graduate and undergraduate enrollment of approximately 7,500 students.  The emphasis is solidly on excellence in teaching, applied research, and outreach.  We seek candidates who demonstrate a similar commitment.
