FACILITIES AND BUILDING
Although it is essentially one building, Johnson EPS is actually made up of two integrated structures that were constructed at different times. The east-side (quad-side) of the building was built in the early 1960s; the west side and interconnecting features were added about a five yearslater. Unfortunately, little effort was made at the time for the addition to match its exterior design with that of the original structure. The building was dedicated to former University of Tennessee President Joseph E. Johnson in 1999.
The Department of Chemistry & Physics' main office is located in Room 319. The chemistry faculty offices and labs are located on the third floor, while some classrooms are located on either the second or first floor. The physics faculty offices are located in the 222 suite and their classrooms and labs are also on the west side of the second floor.
