A minor in mathematics provides strong support for any degree in the physical or biological sciences, in computer science or business administration.  Mathematics can support a degree in philosophy, particularly if one's area of study is logic or epistemology.  Mathematics can even enhance a fine arts degree in fields such as architecture and design.

 

The Mathematics Minor: B.A. or B.S. curriculum

Prerequisites:
251 Calculus I
252 Calculus II
Course Requirements:
241 Foundations of Mathematics
310 Linear Algebra
and nine additional hours of upper division mathematics.
