P.R. Graduates are Spokespersons, Advisors to Organizations, Industry
Communications majors who study Public Relations at UT Martin prepare themselves for many possible careers. Graduates represent their clients by working closely with the various media and other publics. They also frequently act as official spokespersons for businesses and many other kinds of organizations. P.R. practitioners typically advise top management and consult with their clients on how any proposed ideas, campaigns or company actions may be perceived by their publics. This means that P.R. people must be all-around media generalists, good public speakers, "people persons" and knowledgeable about business and marketing practices. |
