Degree Sequences The Communications Department prepares students for careers in Print Journalism, Public Relations, Radio, Television and in the new computer-related media. Early, hands-on, "real world" experiences, small class sizes and individual faculty attention for students have made us one of 104 programs in the country to earn full accreditation by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC). More information and Departmental Checklists
Note: To graduate, Communications majors must satisfy the "80-65 Rule" of ACEJMC, our department's accrediting agency. This means that the students must complete a minimum of 80 semester hours in courses outside the major, with no fewer than 65 semester hours in the basic liberal arts and sciences. A course must be completed with a grade of at least "C" to be counted in the major. |
