Dr. Tracy Rutledge

Currently Teaching:

Introduction to Media Design and Public Relations, Principles of Media Design, Advanced Media Design, Basic Web Design, Advanced Web Design/Multimedia, Strategic Communication Campaigns, and Public Speaking

Dr. Tracy Rutledge managed public relations and creative services for universities and non-profit organizations prior to teaching full-time. Her awards and honors include the 2012-2013 UTM Coffey Outstanding Teacher Award, 2011 AEJMC Best Practices in Teaching Visual Literacy Award, 2011 Top Four Research Paper Award from the Applied Communication Division of the National Communication Association, 2010 UTM College of Humanities and Fine Arts Junior Faculty Award, and numerous awards for her creative work. She still consults with a variety of organizations on media design and strategic communication planning. Her interests include message design effects, visual persuasion, and communication strategy.
