Tennessee Pre-Professional Fellowship Program

A rewarding opportunity in health sciences and law

The overall goal of the TIP program is to increase the number of African American Professionals in the discipline of both health and law. The program is divided into two Divisions: Scholars I. for both freshmen and sophomore students and Scholars II. For all upperclassmen. The primary objective of Scholars I. Summer institute is to assist students in achieving the criterion score on the entrance exam needed to gain admission to professional school under the condition of the program. This is accomplished through an intensive review of the requisite courses related to the various entrance exams, as well as test specific preparation in exam areas. The institute also seeks to educate students about the intricacies of the application process and provide assistance where needed.

 

The primary goal of Scholars II. Is to introduce students to the professional school Experience by exposing them to a simulation of the first year experience. The program affords students who have shown the potential to achieve the opportunity to gain further exposure to professional school assistance to gain admission into these programs.
