The Office of Extended Campus and Online Studies awards Continuing Education Units (CEU's) to qualifying courses. This allows the student to document their continuing education course using a nationally recognized standard unit of measurement awarded at the rate of one CEU for each ten contact hours of instruction. UTM is accredited to award bachelor's and master's degrees and specific guidelines in awarding CEU credit are followed. A record of CEU credits is permanently maintained in the Record Office and students may request a CEU transcript at any time. This serves as documentation of their continuing education and can be used for career advancement or to meet professional continuing education requirements.

A wide variety of training is offered both on UT Martin's campus and at extended sites throughout western Tennessee. The Office of Extended Campus and Online Studies is sensitive to the special needs and interests of adults and the special training requests of business and industry. Training programs can be developed to your specifications according to your employees' or organization's needs, goals, and learning styles. Specialized training services typically include a needs assessment, development of a proposal for course materials to meet specific needs, and quality instruction.

We offer instruction in both formal and informal settings. They can be delivered on-site to your employees or at one of UT Martin's facilities. The cost of non-degree programs will vary and is determined by the number of participants, location of training, and course content. UT Martin has downlink capabilities and can offer satellite teleconferences on specialized topics for groups.
