Dinosaurs are Dino-mite! - Whitney Crider

Do you dig dinosaurs? Do you like to learn and have fun too? Become a junior paleontologist by making and excavating fossils, designing a dinosaur, and hunting for dinosaur eggs. Enter the deep, dark world of rotting logs, twisting tunnels, and slime trails. Prepare to get dirty as you dig into the soil and uncover the critters that live underground. We will learn dinosaur songs, create dino crafts, and eat yummy dinosaur snacks! Find your inner explorer this summer at a camp that lets you discover science first hand. Whether you¹re digging for fossils or getting up close with animals, it¹s sure to be a week you won¹t forget! We will finish the week with a special guest to talk about fossils and dinosaur facts. Prepare to have a R-R-ROARING good time!

Songs, Stories and Spanish! Oh, my! - Andrea Maxwell

You will learn songs, stories, and vocabulary as well as engaging games in Spanish while having fun! Various play and craft activities will help introduce you to the Spanish language and culture. You will learn basic beginning Spanish including how to count, colors, and even some animals!

Theatre Games for the Young’ns - Shane Bridges

Would your child love to try acting, but is a bit afraid to give it a try? Theatre Games for the Young’ns makes acting accessible to the child by utilizing fun, collaborative games and exercises which teach the values of collaborating, listening, and creating. Students should wear non-restrictive clothing in which they can easily move, and be prepared to have fun and acquire self-confidence and communication skills which will benefit them the rest of their lives.

This Place is Boring! - Amanda Pearcy
Wish you lived in Hawaii or star-studded Hollywood? Why did you have to grow up in boring, ole Decatur County? During Kids College, come and see what really has happened around here. And trust me, it¹s not boring! We will take a walk back in history and discover what went on in this area and how people lived. We will experience how kids lived throughout the past, how they went to school, what they wore, how they spent their summer vacation and school breaks, and how they lived with NO ELECTRICITY!
Ahhhhh, NO COMPUTERS, NO VIDEO GAMES, NO TV, NO WAY! Yep, we're going to churn butter, make our own toys, and play games from the early days while telling stories of events that really happened around here. After this class, you will look at this little Tennessee town totally different!

Digging for Dinosaurs - Whitney Crider
Long ago great creatures roamed our planet! What kind of creatures? DINOSAURS! What wonderful animals they were-all different kinds, from big to small. What did they look like? Why did they die out? What do their fossils tell about our planet? We will learn species, names, what their fossils tell about our planet. Find your inner explorer this summer at a camp that lets you discover science first hand.

Nothing Happens Here! - Amanda Pearcy
In this Kids College class, we will discover that there were most certainly things that happened around our little town. Did you know one of the largest men that ever lived - lived right here in this area? What about the disagreement of the 1924 presidential election that ended in the loss of three lives including a father and a son. Even soldiers of the Civil War came through here. We are going to learn what events happened here while studying the way that our ancestors lived. Your eyes will be opened when we look at what kids did around here for fun and how they lived. We will dive back into the past and play the same games and make the same crafts as our ancestors did and learn what their life was really like. We will research this area and discover interesting facts and look at the way people lived and get a whole new perspective of what all that has happened here!
