Non-Degree Programs – Ripley Kids College

 

Dear Moms and Dads...

Kid College at the UT Martin Ripley Center is scheduled for June 10-14, 8:00-Noon. Kid College is a five-day program for children who will attend Kindergarten in 2013 through the 5th grade.  Our goal for Kid College is to provide your child an opportunity to have a fun-learning experience.  We have an exciting five days planned for your child.  The children will be divided into 3 groups based on the grade they will be in Fall 2013:  Kindergarten-1st Grade; 2nd-3rd Grade; and 4th-5th Grade.  Children will rotate through the courses each day.
To help our program operate smoothly, we have the following reminders:


• Register your child in advance. Registration & Payment instructions are on the registration form.
• Complete the Kid College RELEASE AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK FORM

• Registration fee is $80 and includes a Kid College T-Shirt and supplies.
• Name tags should be worn daily.
• Students should wear tennis shoes and clothing suitable for the Circle R Fitness Corral Class.
• Snacks will be provided.
• Allergies.  Please list your child's allergies (food, hay, horses, etc.) on the registration form.  We plan to have a farrier, a covered wagon with horses and other first-hand experiences.

Drop Off Instructions
On the first day of Kid College, please bring your child to the lobby to pick up their nametag and t-shirt.  Each day the teacher will meet the children in the lobby and take them to the classroom.  After the first day, please enter the parking lot and turn right.  Go down the right side of the parking lot and then turn left.  Stop in front of the Center and Kid College staff will assist your child(ren) from the vehicle.

Pick Up Instructions
Same as drop off.  Approach the front door of the center from the right.  Kid College staff will assist your child into the vehicle.  On the first day of Kid College parents will be given a sign with their child's name printed on the front.  This is to be placed on the dashboard on the passenger side of the car.  This will assist us in getting your child into the vehicle.

June 14-Open House
11:30-12:30 p.m.  All parents, family and friends are invited to drop by and meet the teachers, view displays and watch demonstrations.  Refreshments will be served.
