Today's adults must balance the responsibilities of home, family, and work at an every increasing rate. The University of Tennessee at Martin is sensitive to the ever-changing demands of adult life and attempts to meet the diverse educational/personal enrichment needs through its many offerings and formats. Our courses are open to anyone; you need not be admitted to the university to attend our non-degree classes.

 

A wide variety of subjects is offered for your personal enrichment. We are proud of the quality of our non-degree curriculum and of our talented instructors. Our staff and instructors are sensitive to the special circumstances of adult learners and we offer courses that will appeal to the various facts of your life. We are committed to lifelong learning opportunities for adults and strive to make our classes convenient, informative, and inexpensive.

 

All classes have limited enrollments and are filled on a first-come basis. A minimum number of students are required for most of our classes. If the minimum number of students do not enroll, the class will be canceled and you will be notified.

Some of the personal enrichment classes that have been offered include the following: Computer Skills, Spanish, ACT preparation, Personal Finances, Flower Arranging, Painting, Calligraphy, and Public Speaking.

As we enter the new millennium, the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM) is pleased to offer many different professional development courses.
