GROVE CAGERS HONORED AT BANQUET (1954-55)

MEMBERS of the Grove High School basketball squads were honor guests at a banquet last night at the Avalon, at which Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Rawls were hosts. The Blue Devilettes, winner in the district tournament, wore flowers presented by their mothers. Pictured above are: Jan Nichols, Barbara Jelks (manager), Peggy Davis, Martha Porter, Jarutha Smith, Fosteen Hamilton, Patsy Latimer, Lamar Roberts, coach; Pat Radford, Marilyn McClain, Carolyn King, B. J. Johnson, Sue Valentine, and Jane Thompson. Boys team: Homer Spain, coach; Jerry Atkins, Tommy Higgs, Mickey Norman, Gerald Hill, Maurice Field, Carney Murphy, Pete Perry, Paul Veazey, Morris Brown, Randall Scholes, Jack Nichols and Bill Warren.
